On 16 December, the new Austrian Federal Government was sworn in by Federal President Heinz Fischer.
On 1 September 2014 were sworn in: Reinhold Mitterlehner as the Vice-Chancellor and Johann Georg Schelling as the Federal Minister of Finance instead of Michael Spindelegger, Alois Stöger as the Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology instead of Doris Bures, Sabine Oberhauser as the Federal Minister for Health instead of Alois Stöger.
On 26 January 2016 were sworn in: Hans Peter Doskozil as the Federal Minister for Defence and Sports instead of Gerald Klug, Gerald Klug as the Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology instead of Alois Stöger, Alois Stöger as the Federal Minister for Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection instead of Rudolf Hundstorfer.
On 21 April 2016 were sworn in: Wolfgang Sobotka as the Federal Minister for the Interior.
On 17 May 2016 Christian Kern was sworn in as Federal Chancellor by Federal President Heinz Fischer.
On 18 Mai 2016 were sworn in: Sonja Hammerschmid as Federal Minister for Education and Women's Affairs instead of Gabriele Heinisch-Hosek, Jörg Leichtfried as Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology instead of Gerald Klug, Thomas Drozda as Federal Minister for Arts and Culture, Constitution and Media instead of Josef Ostermayer.
